Design Matters

The IIID Thane Regional Chapter (TRC), led by Rashmi Tiwari, hosted “Design Matters: Blueprints of the Future”—an evening focused on exploring the evolving role of design in shaping future-ready, human-centric spaces.

The session featured Ar. Sandeep Shikre of SSA Architects as the keynote speaker, where he shared insights on how design today goes beyond form and function to create immersive experiences. He spoke about the integration of architecture and interiors, the role of materiality and storytelling, and the need to design with sensitivity towards people, context, and sustainability.

Bringing together members of the design community, the event created a platform for dialogue, exchange of ideas, and collective reflection on the future of design, followed by an evening of music and networking.
