Suhas is an accomplished Associate Principal with a comprehensive background in architectural design, sustainability, and digital integration. Holding a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from Sir JJ College of Architecture, Mumbai University (2003) and a Master’s degree in Architecture from Pennsylvania State University (2010), Suhas brings a wealth of knowledge and a robust academic foundation to his role. He is also a LEED Accredited Professional, underscoring his commitment to environmentally responsible design.

Suhas’s approach to architecture is holistic and dynamic. He believes architecture originates from the program and people, evolving with context and climate and ultimately expressing itself through materials and technology. His philosophy emphasizes the collaborative nature of architectural design, benefiting from the shared expertise of various team members to deliver successful projects. For Suhas, the role of an architect is to envision and script the entire product from conception to delivery, embracing the noble responsibility of this endeavor.

His specialization in the early adoption of energy design tools has significantly influenced his design philosophy. By integrating digital tools like BIM and energy simulation during the early design stages, Suhas focuses on creating sustainable buildings with reduced energy and resource consumption. This passion for sustainability and technology is reflected in his notable projects, including the Piramal Agastya Corporate Park in Mumbai and the JP Infra Residential Development at JP North.

Suhas is deeply passionate about the design process, from initial client engagement to project delivery. He values the collaborative efforts of consultants, vendors, and contractors in creating efficient designs and is naturally curious about contemporary digital design and analytical tools. Recognized for his excellence in architecture and environmental design research, Suhas was awarded the ARCC/Kings Student Medal in 2008-2009 and had a project shortlisted for the World Architecture Festival in 2008. His notable works also include key projects for IIT Bombay and SPJIMR.

Suhas embodies the motto, “A detail is not resolved unless it’s sketched,” often seen with a stack of sketches ranging from macro planning details to micro joinery details. His dedication to detail and sustainable design continues to shape his successful career in architecture.
